Thee Rised

I was looking for a used pseries server to replace the used bladecenter server I had installed about fifteen years ago. I knew that the pseries was the right choice for now. I had gotten many years of use out of the used bladecenter and I had to have it fixed only once in the fifteen years.

I had purchased the used bladecenter from a company that was going out of business that manufactured metal frames for swing sets. They were moving their business to a different state and had decided to sell all of the computer equipment they had, since they would be buying new for the new building.

I paid about one tenth of what the used bladecenter was worth, but got many years out of it. That is the reason why I am upgrading now. I have heard good things about the pseries servers but cannot afford to purchase a new one. I am really hoping to find a great deal like last time. My local computer shop told me that they may know a guy who would be willing to sell his used pseries server for a pretty low price, since he is retiring and closing down his practice at the end of the month.

I am hoping that they are right; if not then I will have to start putting ads in the paper about what I am looking to buy.
